6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea I have a goodly heritage.

7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel; my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

8 I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth; my flesh also shall rest in hope.

10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

11 Thou wilt show me the path of life; in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

Psalms 17
Intro: God the defense of the righteous. (A Prayer of David.)

1 Give me right words, O Lord; speak and thy servant shall hear thee; attend unto my cry, and give ear unto my prayer. I come not unto thee out of feigned lips.

2 Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.

3 Thou hast proved my heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me; thou shalt find nothing evil in me, for I am purposed my mouth shall not transgress concerning the works of men.

4 By the word of thy lips I have kept out of the paths of the destroyer.
