Matthew 9
And Jesus entered into a ship, and passes over, and came into his own city.

And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed; and Jesus, knowing their faith, said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee; go thy way and sin no more.

And, behold, certain of the Scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

And Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, Wherefore is it that ye think evil in your hearts?

For is it not easier to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee, than to say, Arise and walk?

But I said this that ye may know that the Son of Man hath power on earth to forgive sins.

Then Jesus said unto the sick of the palsy, Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thy house.

And he immediately arose, and departed to his house.

But when the multitude saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such power unto men.

And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man named Matthew, sitting at the place where they received tribute, as was customary in those days, and he said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.

And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him, and with his disciples.
