The account of their sufferings.They take the daughters of Ishmael to wife.They take their families and depart into the wilderness. Their sufferings and afflictions in the wilderness.The course of their travels. They come to the large waters.Nephi's brethren rebelleth against him. He confoundeth them and buildeth a ship.They call the name of the place Bountiful.They cross the large waters into the Promised Land, etc.This is according to the account of Nephi; or in other words, I, Nephi, wrote this record.
1 Nephi 1:1 I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents, therefore, I was taught somewhat in all the learning of my father, And having seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days, Yea, having had a great knowledge of the goodness and the mysteries of God, Therefore, I make a record of my proceedings in my days; Yea, I make a record in the language of my father, which consists of the learning of the Jews, and the language of the Egyptians;
1 Nephi 1:2 And I know that the record which I make to be true, And I make it with mine own hand, And I make it according to my knowledge.
1 Nephi 1:17 Behold, I make an abridgment of the record of my father upon plates which I have made with mine own hands; Wherefore, after that I have abridged the record of my father, then will I make an account of mine own life.
1 Nephi 1:61 For behold, Laban hath the record of the Jews, and also a genealogy of my forefathers, And they are engraven upon plates of brass;

Alma 5:Intro The words of Alma which he delivered to the people in Gideon, according to his own record.
Alma 7:Intro The words of Alma, and also the words of Amulek, which were declared unto the people which werein the Land of Ammonihah.And also they are cast into prison and delivered by the miraculous power of God which was in them, according to the record of Alma.
Alma 12:Intro An account of the sons of Mosiah which rejected their rights to the kingdom for the word of God and went up to the Land of Nephi to preach to the Lamanites. Their sufferings and deliverance, according to the record of Alma.
Alma 16:261 And we have an account of his commandments which he gave unto them, according to his own record.
Alma 17:31 And now my son Helaman, I command you that ye take the records which have been entrusted with me, And I also command you that ye shall keep a record of this people, according as I have done, upon the plates of Nephi; And keep all these things sacred which I have kept, even as I have kept them - for it is for a wise purpose that they are kept -
Alma 20:100 And thus ended the record of Alma which was written upon the plates of Nephi.
Alma 21:Intro The account of the people of Nephi and their wars and dissensions in the days of Helaman, according to the record of Helaman which he kept in his days.
Alma 21:78 Now I will return in our record to Amalickiah and those which had fled with him into the wilderness. For behold, he had taken those which went with him and went up into the Land of Nephi, among the Lamanites, And did stir up the Lamanites to anger against the people of Nephi, Insomuch that the king of the Lamanites sent a proclamation throughout all his land, among all his people, that they should gather themselves together again to go to battle against the Nephites.
Helaman 1:Intro An account of the Nephites, their wars and contentions and their dissensions. And also the prophecies of many holy prophets before the coming of Christ, according to the record of Helaman, which was the son of Helaman, and also according to the records of his sons, even down to the coming of Christ. And also many of the Lamanites are converted; an account of their conversion. An account of the righteousness of the Lamanites and the wickedness and abominations of the Nephites, according to the record of Helaman and his sons, even down to the coming of Christ, which is called the book of Helaman, etc.
Helaman 3:47 "Yea, did he not bear record that the Son of God should come? And as he lifted up the brazen serpent in the wilderness, even so should He be lifted up which should come;
Helaman 5:140 And thus ended the book of Helaman, according to the record of Helaman and his sons.
3 Nephi 1:3 Then he departed out of the land and whither he went no man knoweth; And his son Nephi did keep the record in his stead, yea, the record of this people.
3 Nephi 2:94 Therefore, I have made my record of these things according to the record of Nephi which was engraven on the plates which were called the plates of Nephi;

4 Nephi 1:24 And it came to pass that Amos died also; And it was an hundred and ninety and four years from the coming of Christ; And his son Amos kept the record in his stead, And he also kept it upon the plates of Nephi; And it was also written in the book of Nephi, which is this book.
4 Nephi 1:56 And it came to pass that after three hundred and five years had passed away, And the people did still remain in wickedness; And Amos died and his brother Ammoron did keep the record in his stead.
4 Nephi 1:59 And he did hide them up unto the Lord, that they might come again unto the remnant of the house of Israel according to the prophecies and the promises of the Lord; And thus is the end of the record of Ammoron.
Mormon 1:1 And now I, Mormon, make a record of the things which I have both seen and heard, And call it the book of Mormon.

Mormon 4:18 For He truly saith that none shall have them to get gain; But the record thereof is of great worth, And whoso shall bring it to light, him will the Lord bless.
Mormon 4:98 And now behold, we have written this record according to our knowledge in the characters which are called among us the reformed Egyptian, Being handed down and altered by us according to our manner of speech;
Mormon 4:99 And if our plates had been sufficiently large, we should have written in the Hebrew, But the Hebrew hath been altered by us also; And if we could have written in the Hebrew, Behold, ye would have had no imperfection in our record.
Ether 1:3 And as I suppose that the first part of this record which speaketh concerning the creation of the world, and also of Adam - And an account from that time, even to the Great Tower, And whatsoever things transpired among the children of men until that time - is had among the Jews,
Ether 1:36 And now I proceed with my record. For behold, it came to pass that the Lord did bring Jared and his brethren forth, even to that great sea which divideth the lands;

Ether 3:80 Hath he not read the record which our fathers brought across the great deep?
Ether 4:1 And now I, Moroni, proceed with my record.
Ether 5:20 And behold, we have seen in this record that one of these was the brother of Jared; For so great was his faith in God that when God put forth His finger, He could not hide it from the sight of the brother of Jared because of his word which he had spoken unto Him, which word he had obtained by faith;
Ether 5:41 And now I would commend you to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written, That the grace of God the Father and also the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of Them, may be and abide in you forever. Amen.
Ether 6:1 And now I, Moroni, proceed to finish my record concerning the destruction of the people of which I have been writing.
Ether 6:15 And as he dwelt in the cavity of a rock, he made the remainder of this record, Viewing the destructions which came upon the people, by night.
Ether 6:108 And he went forth and beheld that the words of the Lord had all been fulfilled; And he finished his record - and the hundredth part I have not written - And he had hid them in a manner that the people of Limhi did find them.
