Hebrews 12:9 Furthermore, we have had fathers of our flesh which
corrected us, and we gave them reverence; shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
DC 99:Intro SECTION 99
This is not a revelation, although it states that the High Council was "appointed by revelation"; it is the minutes of the organization of the Council at Kirtland, February 17, 1834. The day after the Council was organized, President Smith reviewed and
corrected the minutes of the initial meeting. On February 19 the Council reassembled, the minutes were read three times, and were then unanimously adopted as a form and constitution of the High Council of the church.
