Climactic Parallelism

Climactic parallelism reaches a point, but not necesarily as a 'staircase.' Many Book of Mormon phrases reach climactic points.
A climactic parallelism will end with a summary of previous points.

2 Nephi 12:97

There is nothing which is secret,

   save it shall be revealed;

There is no work of darkness,

   save it shall be made manifest in the light;

And there is nothing which is sealed upon earth save it shall be loosed

(LDS: 2 Nephi 30:17)

2 Nephi 13:7

And now if the Lamb of God,

   He being holy,

Should have need to be baptized by water to fulfill all righteousness,

O then, how much more need have we being unholy to be baptized,

   Yea, even by water

(LDS: 2 Nephi 31:5)

2 Nephi 12:90

For the time speedily cometh that the Lord God shall cause a great division among the people;

2 Nephi 12:50-2 Nephi 12:52

O ye Gentiles, have ye remembered the Jews,

   Mine ancient covenant people?
Nay but ye have cursed them and have hated them

   and have not sought to recover them;
But behold, I will return all these things upon your own heads;

For I, the Lord, hath not forgotten My people.
(LDS: 2 Nephi 29:5)

Mosiah 1:128-Mosiah 1:129

'Therefore, they have drunk out of the cup of the wrath of God,

Which justice could no more deny unto them

than it could deny that Adam should fall because of his partaking of the forbidden fruit; Therefore, mercy could have claim on them no more forever.
And their torment is as a lake of fire and brimstone,

  whose flames are unquenchable

  and whose smoke ascendeth up forever and ever.'
(LDS: Mosiah 3:27)

Mosiah 11:144-Mosiah 11:145

And whosoever repented of their sins and did confess them,

And their names were blotted out.
(LDS: Mosiah 26:36)

Alma 9:17-Alma 9:20

And therefore, he that will harden his heart,

the same receiveth the lesser portion of the word,
And he that will not harden his heart,

to him is given the greater portion of the word

    until it is given unto him to know the mysteries of God,

    until they know them in full;
And he that will harden his heart,

   to him is given the lesser portion of the word

   until they know nothing concerning His mysteries;
And then they are taken captive by the devil and led by his will down to destructions; (Destructions is Plural Amplification)
(LDS: Alma 12:11)

Alma 16:51

Behold, I know that thou believest,

But thou art possessed with a lying spirit;

And ye have put off the Spirit of God that it may have no place in you,

But the devil hath power over you;

And he doth carry you about working devices that he may destroy the people of God.

(LDS: Alma 30:42)

Alma 16:215 "And behold, this is the whole meaning of the law,

   every whit a pointing to that great and last sacrifice.

And that great and last sacrifice will be the Son of God.

   Yea, infinite and eternal.

And thus He shall bring salvation to all those who shall believe on His name,

(LDS: Alma 34:15)

Alma 16:217 "And thus mercy can satisfy the demands of justice

   and encircles them in the arms of safety,

While he that exerciseth no faith unto repentance

   is exposed to the whole law of the demands of justice;

Therefore, only unto him that hath faith unto repentance

   is brought about the great and eternal plan of redemption.

(LDS: Alma 34:16)

Alma 17:70

Yea, when thou liest down at night,

   lie down unto the Lord that He may watch over you in your sleep,

And when thou risest in the morning,

   let thy heart be full of thanks unto God;

And if ye always do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.

(LDS: Alma 37:37)

Alma 18:16

Do not say

   O God I thank Thee that we are better than our brethren.

But rather say,

   O Lord, forgive my unworthiness

   and remember my brethren in mercy.

 Yea, acknowledge your unworthiness before God at all times.

(LDS: Alma 38:14)

Alma 19:94-Alma 19:95

Therefore according to justice the plan of redemption could not be brought about,

   only on conditions of repentance of men in this probationary state,

   yea, this preparatory state;

For except it were for these conditions mercy could not take effect,

   except it should destroy the work of justice;
Now the work of justice could not be destroyed.

If so, God would cease to be God.
(LDS: Alma 42:13)

Alma 21:75-Alma 21:77

And there were some who died with fevers,

   which at some seasons of the year was very frequent in the land.
But not so much so with fevers because of the excellent qualities of the many plants and roots which God had prepared to remove the cause of diseases,

   to which man was susceptible by the nature of the climate.
But there were many who died with old age.

And those who died in the faith of Christ are happy in Him, as we must needs suppose.
(LDS: Alma 46:41)

Helaman 4:53-Helaman 4:55

O how foolish and how vain

   and how evil and devilish,

And how quick to do iniquity

   And how slow to do good are the children of men.

Yea, how quick to hearken unto the words of the evil one

and to set their hearts upon the vain things of the world

Yea, how quick to be lifted up in pride

Yea, how quick to boast and do all manner of that which is iniquity
And how slow are they to remember the Lord their God and to give ear unto His counsels

Yea, how slow to walk in wisdom's paths
(LDS: Helaman 12:5)

Helaman 4:72-Helaman 4:73

And I would that all men might be saved;

But we read that in that great and last day there are some which shall be cast out,

Yea, which shall be cast off from the presence of the Lord,
Yea, which shall be consigned to a state of endless misery, fulfilling the words which saith:

   They that have done good shall have everlasting life;

   And they that have done evil shall have everlasting damnation.

And thus it is. Amen.
(LDS: Helaman 12:26)

Helaman 4:69

And wo unto whom He shall say this .

For it shall be unto him that will do iniquity and he cannot be saved;

Therefore for this cause that men might be saved hath repentance been declared.

(LDS: Helaman 12:22)

Helaman 5:72-Helaman 5:73

Yea, and it bringeth to pass the conditions of repentance,

   That whosoever repenteth,

   the same is not hewn down and cast into the fire;
But whosoever repenteth not

  is hewn down and cast into the fire,

And there cometh upon them again a spiritual death,

   yea, a second death.

For they are cut off again as to things pertaining to righteousness.
(LDS: Helaman 14:18)

Helaman 5:24-Helaman 5:25

For I will, ' saith the Lord, 'that they shall hide up their treasures unto Me;

And cursed be they who hideth not up their treasures unto Me;

For none hideth up their treasures unto Me save it be the righteous;
And he that hideth not up his treasure unto Me, cursed is he and also the treasure,

And none shall redeem it because of the curse of the land.
(LDS: Helaman 13:19)

Helaman 5:90-Helaman 5:91

For behold, they have been a chosen people of the Lord;

   Yea, the people of Nephi hath He loved;

And also hath He chastened them,

   yea, in the days of their iniquities hath He chastened them because He loveth them.
But behold, my brethren, the Lamanites hath He hated because their deeds have been evil continually,

And this because of the iniquity of the tradition of their fathers.
(LDS: Helaman 15:4)

3 Nephi 4:52

Behold, for such I have laid down My life

and have taken it up again;

Therefore, repent and come unto Me, ye ends of the earth, and be saved

(LDS: 3 Nephi 9:22)

3 Nephi 5:113-3 Nephi 5:114

The light of the body is the eye;

If therefore thine eye be single thy whole body shall be full of light;
But if thine eye be evil thy whole body shall be full of darkness;

If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness
(LDS: 3 Nephi 13:23)

3 Nephi 12:29-3 Nephi 12:30

And it shall come to pass that whoso repenteth and is baptized in My name shall be filled;

And if he endureth to the end Behold,

   him will I hold guiltless before My Father at that day when I shall stand to judge the world.
And he that endureth not unto the end

   the same is he that is also hewn down and cast into the fire.

   From whence they can no more return because of the justice of the Father.

And this is the word which He hath given unto the children of men.
(LDS: 3 Nephi 27:18)

3 Nephi 12:1-3 Nephi 12:4

And now there cannot be written in this book even an hundredth part of the things which Jesus did truly teach unto the people;

But behold, the plates of Nephi do contain the more part of the things which He taught the people;
And these things have I written which are a lesser part of the things which He taught the people,

And I have written them to the intent that they may be brought again unto this people from the Gentiles according to the words which Jesus hath spoken.
(LDS: 3 Nephi 26:10)

Moroni 8:18-Moroni 8:19

Behold, I speak with boldness,

   having authority from God;

For I fear not what man can do;

For perfect love casteth out all fear;

And I am filled with charity,

    which is everlasting love;

Wherefore, all children are alike unto me;

Wherefore, I love little children with a perfect love;

And they are all alike and partakers of salvation;

For I know that God is not a partial God,

   neither a changeable Being.

But He is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity

(LDS: Moroni 8:17)

2 Nephi 1:68-2 Nephi 1:72

And the law is given unto men,
And by the law no flesh is justified,

   or by the law men are cut off.
Yea, by the temporal law they were cut off.

And also by the spiritual law they perish from that which is good and become miserable forever.
Wherefore, redemption cometh in and through the Holy Messiah,

   For He is full of grace and truth.
Behold He offereth Himself a sacrifice for sin,

   to answer the ends of the law unto all those which have a broken heart and a contrite

   spirit.

And unto none else can the ends of the law be answered.

(LDS: 2 Nephi 2:7)

2 Nephi 1:93-2 Nephi 1:95

And if there is no God,

   We are not,

Neither the earth.

For there could have been no creation of things,

   neither to act nor to be acted upon;

Wherefore, all things must have vanished away.
And now my son, I speak unto you these things for your profit and learning,
For there is a God

    And He hath created all things

Both the heavens and the earth and all things that in them is.
(LDS: 2 Nephi 2:14)

Ether 1:106-Ether 1:107

Here is a beautiful Climactic Parallelism:

For because of My Spirit, he shall know that these things are true,

   for it persuadeth men to do good;

And whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do good is of Me,

For good cometh of none, save it be of Me,
And I Am the same that leadeth men to all good.

He that will not believe My words will not believe Me, that I Am;

And he that will not believe Me will not believe the Father which sent Me;
(LDS: Ether 4:12)
